Why should one make sandwich masala at home rather than use the store bought chat masala? According to me it definitely tastes better with the feel good homemade and customizable element. Its easy to make and can be made with the ingredients that you already have at home. This sandwich masala can be used on any street food or chat items to enhance its taste.

Ingredients Required:

Cumin seeds 2 tbsp
Peppercorns 1/2 tsp
Fennel seeds 1.5 tsp
Cinnamon 1 inch
Cloves 3-4
Black Salt 1/4 tsp
Dry mango / Amchur Powder 2 tsp


1. In a pan add cumin seeds, peppercorns, fennel seeds, cinnamon, cloves and dry roast for few minutes until you get the nice aroma.

2. Transfer and allow the ingredients to cool slightly.

3. Once cooled add the roasted ingredients to a mixer along with black salt, amchur powder and grind into a fine powder.

Store it in an air tight container and use up to a month.
